The official textbook for ZNKR Jodo was published by the All Japan Kendo Federation. In addition to the Japanese edition, there is also an officially approved English translation. There is no German translation. The current issue can be purchased online, e. g. at Nine Circles. In addition to basic explanations, the booklet also contains the description of the Kihon and the 12 ZNKR Kata.

In addition to the ZNKR standard work, there is also further literature on the kata of the old schools. The books are written by Chris Mansfield Sensei, 7th Dan and are also available online in English from Nine Circles. The booklets contain text and pictures and explain the sequence of the individual kata.
